Air Gap Transfer collects no data about you. There is no server to collect it with, no account to sign in to, and no analytics, tracking or advertising code of any kind.

Your files

Files you send are read, compressed and turned into QR codes entirely on your own device. They are never uploaded anywhere. The transfer happens optically — one screen displaying, one camera reading — which is the whole point of the app.

Files you receive are reassembled on your own device and handed to you to save. Nothing is kept afterwards.

Your camera

The receiving side asks for camera access so it can read the code on the other screen. The video is processed frame by frame in memory and discarded immediately. It is never recorded, stored or transmitted. You can revoke the permission at any time in your device or browser settings.

What is stored on your device

• The web version stores one setting in your browser's local storage: the transfer Speed you last chose. Clearing site data removes it.
• The iOS app stores the same single setting in its own app storage, removed when you delete the app.

No cookies are set.

Third parties

There are none. The app makes no network requests while transferring, and sends nothing to any third-party service. The web version is a static page, so whoever hosts it may keep ordinary web-server logs of requests for the page itself — that is outside the app and unrelated to your files.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new practice.
